Photo Manipulation

A photograph can be edited by erasing or inserting certain images onto an image or by cropping a photo and using different parts of the image to represent a different concept.

People manipulate photos to represent a certain idea, show a certain meaning and change the concept completely.

Photo manipulation is used as a weapon to hide the truth and give off a different story completely. In the past people have erased other people from an image because they have fallen out. Juxtaposition is one image placed next to another. It can be used to completely change the story/ concept behind the photo.

People percieve certain images in certain ways, this can alter the meaning that the image was originally intending to portray.

The media manipulates images to make their stories more entertaining, with technology being so advanced it is much harder to spot if an image has been edited in any way.
